| Ruth Robertson and her husband, John, owned District West Fine Art, in the Northern Virginia suburbs of Washington, DC from 2000 to 2004. District West Fine Art was one of the most successful commercial galleries in the Washington, DC metropolitan area until its close in May of 2004. Ruth Robertson is a former sothebys.com associate and, as such, has many contacts with collectors and galleries worldwide. In May of 2004 District West Fine Art was closed in order to allow Ruth Robertson to restructure Ruth Robertson Fine Art as a gallery that would not only meet the needs of collectors, but that of a very select group of artists. Ruth Robertson also remains active as an art dealer in the secondary market . A Guide For The Purchase of Fine Art by John F. Robertson |
